Dear First-Year Students,

In the Fall semester, you are required to enroll in all three TES courses:

TES111E Project I

TES112E Visual Communication I: Visualization and Technical Drawing

TES113E Basic Design and Visual Arts
 
TES courses involve all departments within the Faculty of Architecture and are taught by a large group of instructors. Each instructor’s class is listed under a separate CRN (Course Registration Number). Enrolling in a course means registering for a CRN. This semester, you will select a CRN when enrolling in TES111E and TES113E. For TES112E, you will enroll in the common CRN.

Please read the instructions below carefully and follow the links to understand the registration requirements before the morning of September 16, 2025.

The day and time of classes are the same for all CRNs of a TES course. TES111E is held on Mondays and Thursdays, TES112E on Fridays, and TES113E on Wednesdays, all from 8:30 to 12:30.

You may only register for a CRN with a designated quota for your department. Click on a course name above and follow the link to your department to access the appropriate CRN listings and the syllabus prepared by the instructor of each CRN.

If the quota for your preferred CRN is full, and space is available in another CRN, you are expected to register for that CRN, even if it is not your first choice. If all quotas are full, please email TES Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ozan Önder Özener at tes@itu.edu.tr
